James Snelson, formerly of Infigen, joins Wisconsin company

MUKWONAGO, WI (April 29, 2014) – Gearbox Express (GBX), the only independent company in North America focused on providing down-tower, wind gearbox remanufacturing services, has appointed James Snelson Director of Engineering.

Snelson has more than 12 years of experience in the design and analysis of rotating equipment in both the industrial equipment and wind power industries. His background includes project management, leadership, and analysis of over 3,000 MW of wind turbine assets. Most recently, Snelson was a Turbine Engineering Manager for Infigen Energy, Dallas. Previous to that, he was an Operations Engineer for GL Garrad Hassan America, Austin, TX. He received his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, and has completed several post-graduate courses including Six Sigma and Engineering Management.

James has a wealth of turbine operation experience and has an excellent background in mechanical engineering in a variety of different capacities in and around the wind industry.
